A guitar worthy of representing over 50 years of fine guitar building by GuildŽ Guitars! The GuildŽ GAD-40CE was designed utilizing a body shape that is the most popular acoustic body shape in the world and has been used for over 70 years. To accommodate modern playing styles, it has a Venetian cutaway for ease in reaching the higher registers of the guitar. The GAD-40CE has solid Mahogany back and sides and a solid spruce top that features scalloped bracing, joined to the one piece mahogany neck with the traditional dovetail neck joint. The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from Indian Rosewood. The gorgeous tones emitted by this carefully-crafted instrument are faithfully transmitted to your amplifier or PA system through Fishman Acoustic Matric Electronics. The pearl dot inlayed bridge and strap pins are made from ebony, and Guild has added wood bindings, and Grover Rotomatic tuning gears. For the best in tone and intonation, the GAD-40CE features a bone nut and bone compensated saddle. The finishing touch -- classic pearl fingerboard inlays and a deluxe wooden arched case.
